Wilson Nolan
President and CEO

Wilson has 33 years executive level experience managing regional and national biosolids management companies in the US. He leads the development team for Liberty Energy Centre in addition to developing a similar project and managing ongoing biosolids management services for over 60 customers in California.

Wilson holds a Bachelor of Science (with Highest Distinction) and a Master of Science degrees in Agronomy from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona where he was also a Rhodes Scholar candidate.


Larry Di Ianni
Manager, Outreach and Communications Services, Liberty Energy

Larry specializes in strategic planning and government relations, and brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to Liberty Energy.

Before joining the Liberty Energy team, Larry was an elected official for the municipality of Stoney Creek and the City of Hamilton. Larry began his political career as a Councillor, being first elected in 1982 in the town of Stoney Creek. After serving for 20 years as a Councillor, Larry was elected Mayor of the City of Hamilton from 2003 to 2006.

Before politics, Larry was an educator and is a retired Secondary School Principal for the Halton District School Board. He has also been a Leadership instructor at Brock U. and Mohawk College with a focus on leadership coaching and organizational development.


Steve Ketler
Manager, Engineering & Technical Services, Liberty Energy

For the past 20 years Steve has been involved in the development, design and construction of electrical power plants and other heavy industrial facilities, including many renewable energy and waste-to-energy projects.

Steve has managed the design engineering activities for power plant construction projects with capital costs of up to US$750 million, has run the power engineering department of a mid-sized consulting engineering and construction management firm, and acted as independent engineer for project lenders and investors.

He holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of BC in Vancouver, and is a licensed professional engineer in Ontario, BC, Washington and Nevada.


Paul Murray
Project Manger and PEng, SNC Lavalin, Liberty’s construction firm

Paul is a Professional Engineer with 30 years experience in various disciplines of mechanical engineering ranging from field and application engineering to general manager of a major construction company.

Paul has directed construction for numerous EPC projects in the power sector as large as $700 Million, as well as complex projects in the chemicals and mining sectors, delivering projects on time and on budget.

Paul has extensive experience in working and negotiating with labour, and currently negotiates and deals with four major construction unions on an ongoing basis. He holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree from Carleton University in Ottawa and is a licensed professional engineer in Ontario.

SNC-Lavalin has been selected to construct the Liberty Energy Centre under an Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) arrangement.


Henry Berling
Managing Director, Ewing Bemiss, LIberty’s investment banking partner

Henry focuses on the logistics & transportation industry and the firm’s alternative energy practice. He provides investment banking services for Liberty Energy Centre, other Liberty Energy projects and has arranged financing for a number of renewable energy projects. Prior to joining the firm, he was a supervising senior tax consultant in the financial services area with KPMG Peat Marwick LLP in Richmond, Virginia. 

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy (with Honours) is a graduate of Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania and is a Certified Public Accountant.
